Our mission is to help you do innovative youth ministry.
We believe good youth ministry can involve the whole church. Because young people thrive when they connect with caring adults. And churches flourish when everyone takes an active interest in the lives of rising generations.
These concepts are easy enough to grasp, but they can feel hard to implement. You may be thinking: How do we start? What’s the process?
This is where Reboot comes in. Reboot is a program of Perkins School of Theology, a graduate school of Southern Methodist University. We’ve studied the long history of Christian discipleship, and we are attuned to the challenges of youth ministry today.
So if you're looking to improve the youth ministry of your church, let's get started!
Download Our Free Starter Guide
You can get started in the next five minutes simply by downloading our free Starter Guide. It’s designed for all kinds of churches—large or small, paid or volunteer staff, seasoned or brand new to youth ministry.
But it’s definitely not a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, the Starter Guide will help you discover the structure and activities that make sense for your specific congregation.
And if you have questions or want extra help, just send us a message or give us a call. Almost all the services we offer are free of charge. (Generous donors have supported our work.)
Apply for a Microgrant
As you work through the Starter Guide, you may find yourself wishing you had some extra cash. Maybe you want to take your team on a retreat. Or purchase books. Or convene a church-wide youth event and offer everyone a free lunch.
We’re open to a range of reasonable proposals. To help the Reboot process go smoothly for you, we’ll award grants up to $2000.
Put Together a Cohort of Churches
This offer is mainly for church or denominational leaders who work with multiple congregations. We’ve found that churches can benefit greatly from facing their youth ministry challenges together. That way, they can exchange ideas and lend each other moral support.
If five or more churches in your area are willing to be part of a cohort, we can customize a plan to help them collaborate. We are currently working with churches in cohorts from Arkansas, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Texas.
